POP UP SHOP -monova-
Cicadas singing loud outside bring it home to me that we are in the midst of summer.
The "Innovation of a Thousand Years - Seamless Three-Dimensional Washi" exhibition, which started on July 17 (Thurs), is under way at the monova gallery on the fourth floor of Shinjuku Living Center OZONE.
We have products of our seamless three-dimensional washi series on display in the event space of monova.
Here is the URL of monova's website:

・The products of the Toshiyuki KITA series feature compact and cute designs.
・The Natural series consists of Mokumoku and Moon lamps.
・The by|n meister series offers two categories of products: semi-wrinkle washi and bi-color washi.
The monova gallery boasts a huge collection of products that allows you to experience craftsman skills from various parts of Japan.
Professional staff will guide you through the collection of high-quality products.
Our exhibit continues through July 29 (Tue). I think you might want to put off the regular glaring lights and enjoy the relaxing washi lamps instead on a summer night.
Everyone is welcome to come and take a look.
Thanks -interior life style-
Today, it's drizzling in Tottori, a kind of weather typical to the rainy season, and the temperature has dropped sharply.
We participated in the Interior Lifestyle Exhibition, which took place at Tokyo Big Sight from the 4th to 6th of this month.
We thank those of you who visited the exhibition and came to see the Taniguchi Aoya Washi booth.
At this exhibition, we presented products of four major categories.
・Toshiyuki KITA series launched in 2005
・Our original Natural series
・by|n meister series designed by nendo ← new!
・MORI series created in collaboration with Finnish designers ← new!
While each series has different features, they all offer designs that are unique to seamless three-dimensional washi and attract a lot of attention from potential buyers.
At the exhibition, we received the Best Buy Award from the organizer, Mesago Messe Frankfurt. The award is given to the best item or company selected from a buyer's point of view (the buyer: ACTUS).
We were very delighted to win the award as over 800 companies participated in the exhibition.
For this exhibition, we set up the booth and created a catalog with young creators under the direction of Mr. Tachikawa of t.c.k.w Inc.
Both the booth and the catalog presented our seamless three-dimensional washi lamps in ways they had never been presented before.
We will post information about the new series at later dates.
Don't miss our future posts.

Lamp shade workshop in Taiwan
The organizer of the lampshade workshop in Taiwan, which I mentioned in the previous post, sent us photos of the created lampshades.
These are only some of the photos we got. We are surprised to see lampshades created in so many different ways.
Unlike in workshops in Tokyo, washi made from kozo fibers was used in the workshop in Taiwan.
The lampshades that users create by hand will certainly help enrich their lives.
